Hurricane Helene dramatically impacted the Foscoe-Grandfather Community. The Foscoe Grandfather Community Center was directly impacted as we have land that is located on the Watauga River which flooded. We also have a ‘dry creek’ that runs through our property which contributed to flood damage across the grounds at the park.

Given the damage to the park and limited access during this time, we have had to cancel all events and reservations at the park including a large fundraiser ‘Wild Game’ dinner. Our park operates on a very limited budget and this loss of income has impacted our finances.

Please consider a donation to our park as we help clean up our grounds and maintain the operation of the park. In addition, we have several large scale building projects coming up for the community center building, including a new roof and repainting of the structure.

Your donation is tax-deductible and directly benefits our rural community. Donations are processed through our account with Square. Thank you for your support.

HOW CAN I HELP?

GIVE

Foscoe Grandfather Community Center & Park is a 501c3 non-profit. We are entirely run by volunteers. We receive minimal funding from Watauga County and all of our operations are otherwise supported by rental of the facilities, fundraisers, and donations. USE

Lastly, consider using the park facilities and grounds. Most people say they have never heard of us. We welcome folks from around the High Country to utilize our space.
